Wysoich Swiat, or Merry Christmas! Everyone in America is interested in the Winter weather in Poland so we thought we would include a photo taken near Pila (Piwah), which shows how Winter can be across Poland. At this special and wonderful time of year we encourage everyone to focus on The Reason for the season, that is The One born in a stable in Bethlehem and laid in a manger. Jesus Christ is The meaning of Christmas. May His presence and peace be yours this Christmas!
| You know the analogy: The glass is half full vs. the glass is half empty. We have good news and we have not so good news in this blog session. The good news is that we are at 90% of our monthly support budget! That is GREAT NEWS actually!
The, "Other side of the coin" is that there is still that pesky 10% left to go. What does that mean in actual figures? We still need $885.00 in monthly pledges. In our way of calculating this, we need 88 individuals to pledge $10.00 per month. We know that we are dealing with a volatile economy, but God isn't shaken by all of that. A $10.00 per month pledge means a sacrifice of two large designer coffee's per month (or maybe 3 if you don't drink the big ones.) But, if you can see your way clear to make a pledge for our ministry in Poland, you can do that on line by means of the AWGM main page - click on the pledge form and follow the prompts. Don't forget that our account number is 222922. What better way to be a LIFESAVER than to give so that millions of people can have the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ. Please consider making an investment and become an eternal-LIFESAVER! Thanks
| Can you believe it? Planet Earth has made another lap around the sun and the leaves in the Southern Oregon foothills are beginning to turn again. And, Diane and I are still on the wrong side of the planet. But... we are making some good progress toward getting back to Poland. Our latest figures tell us that we are at 88% of our monthly support budget. Please pray with us that we can make the final push toward departure. We would very much like to depart to the field by the end of January. Thanks to all of our supporters and prayer partners for standing with us. | | |
| It is easier than ever to make monthly contributions that will support us doing overseas ministry.
Just go to the Assemblies of God main page and click on the Missions tab at the top. This will pull up the Missions main page. Now, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see an image of a pledge form, like the one on this page, in the lower left. The caption will say, "It 's never been easier to contribute" and there is a "find out how" selection for you to click on. When you click on that a page will come up with information about Automatic Monthly Contributions, Online Contributions and where to direct questions you might have concerning contributions and the process. If you haven't already made a commitment to support our ministry monthly, we would appreciate it if you would consider doing so. One key thing to remember is that our account number 2229227 must appear on the commitment form, and the commitment in order for us to receive the funds into our account. We need help with monthly support in order to return to and remain on the field for our next 4-year term. Hope we can count you in as one of our key team members. And, THANKS!
| So, it's been a while since we blogged. Why? Because we have been on the road for the past two months and haven't had a lot of time to get it done.
We are now back in Medford and getting resettled into a duplex. Much better than living out of a storage unit and sleeping on Mom's hide-a-bed (a.k.a. sleeping death). The trip to Missionary Renewal was loooooonnnngggg, but the services on the way back to Oregon were very good. We are now back into attacking the calendar schedule through the end of the year and setting our sights on departure to Poland sometime in early 2009. Let that become your earnest prayer along with us. That big orange ball setting on the western horizon is a reminder that scripture says that the day is far spent, and that there is a night coming when we won't be able to work any longer. We are anxious to get back to work! Gotta go. Bye.
